Noor Muqaddam case: Accused Zahir Jaffer granted remand...

A local court in Islamabad has granted a three-day physical remand to Zahir Jaffer, the main accused in the Noor Muqaddam murder case.

Zahir Jaffer, the main accused in Noor Muqaddam murder case, was brought to District and Sessions Court Islamabad for fourth appearance under tight security.

The accused was produced before Magistrate Muhammad Shoaib Akhtar.

Public Prosecutor Sajid Cheema told the court that CCTV footage had been obtained from the scene which needed to be forensicized. The accused would also have to be taken to Lahore for forensic examination.

The accused's lawyer requested for forensics through the photo but the public prosecutor said that if the photo had been used, he would not have asked for further physical remand. The accused was also taken to Lahore in the Usman Mirza case.

The public prosecutor sought three more days of physical remand, which the court granted, and adjourned the hearing until July 31.
