The Sindh Health Department has written a letter to the Sindh Home Department to increase security.
The letter said that security should be beefed up at the quarantine centers. So far, 23 corona patients have escaped from the quarantine centers in the city, most of them from Sindh Government Liaquatabad Hospital.

The health department says fleeing patients can easily spread corona to other people. These people came to Pakistan from abroad in which corona was confirmed, most of the infected people were confirmed to have delta variant.
It may be recalled that in the last 24 hours in Karachi, the rate of positive cases of Corona has been recorded at 26.32% while in Sindh 12.68% has been recorded.
Across Sindh, 20 people have died due to corona in 24 hours.
