A nine-member Afghan Taliban delegation led by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar is on a two-day visit to China.
A spokesman for the Taliban's political office in Qatar, Mohammad Naeem, said a Taliban delegation led by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar had arrived in China on a two-day visit.
He said the Taliban delegation had met the Chinese Foreign Minister to discuss the current situation in Afghanistan and the peace process.

Mohammad Naeem said that the Taliban delegation had assured that Afghan soil would not be used against the security of any country while China had assured not to interfere in Afghan affairs and co-operate in peace efforts.

On the other hand, China has also issued a statement on the meeting of the Afghan Taliban delegation with the Chinese Foreign Minister.
According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman, the Afghan Taliban delegation has met with the Chinese Foreign Minister.
A spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry said the Taliban were a key military and political force in Afghanistan and that China was committed to a policy of non-interference in Afghanistan's internal affairs.
According to the spokesman, the Afghan people have an important opportunity to stabilize and develop the country.
